Instagram Tests Comment Downvotes To Combat Negative Interactions
Meta is once again trying out a dislike button for comments

TikTok Back On Apple App Store And Google Play Store

Back in January, TikTok briefly went dark before a law came into effect banning it, as its owner, ByteDance, hadn’t sold it. That’s when it vanished from the Apple and Google app stores. A matter of hours later, after reassuring words from President Donald Trump, TikTok resumed service. However, even after an executive order from the president seeking to delay the ban for 75 days, neither Apple nor Google returned the app to their stores.
Spotify’s Partner Program is paying off and raising video consumption by 20%

Last year, Spotify announced that it would revamp its Partner Program to unlock more revenue for creators across the platform, whether they be podcasters, musical artists, or videomakers. That program has now been running for a month, and earlier results are promising for both partners and Spotify itself. The streaming service has revealed that on-platform video podcast consumption is up 20% since the new Partner Program went live. Spotify’s rising tide has lifted all boats, with payouts to creators and networks quadrupling year-over-year. The top 20 video podcasts eligible for the Spotify Partner Program have seen their consumption go up 24% on average since December of last year.

Instagram Tests Comment Downvotes To Combat Negative Interactions
Meta is once again trying out a dislike button for comments, this time on Instagram, in the hopes of establishing more signals that it can use to downrank comments that users find to be overly negative and/or harmful to their in-app experience.
As explained by Instagram chief Adam Mosseri: “We’re [currently] testing a new button next to comments on Instagram. This gives people a private way to signal that they don’t feel good about that particular comment. There is no dislike count, nor will anyone know if you tap the button, [but] eventually, we may integrate this signal into comments ranking to move disliked comments lower down.”
X is blocking links to Signal

X users are currently unable to post links to Signal.me, which are used to quickly and securely send direct messages to Signal users. A variety of failure notifications are being reported when X users attempt to post Signal links on the platform, some of which identify the blocked message as containing spam, harmful content, or malicious activity.
Threads is testing an option to hide the "Replies" tab from your profile
Instagram Threads, Meta’s competitor to Elon Musk’s X, is testing a way to make your replies to others’ posts less visible on the platform. The company is adding a new privacy feature that allows you to customize your profile to remove the tab that displays your replies. This leaves only the two tabs that show posts and reposts. The addition offers an option to make your profile and use of Threads more private, without having to switch to a fully private profile, which would limit the visibility of your posts to only your followers and those you choose to reply to.

Hours after Elon Musk’s AI company xAI released the latest version of its AI model, Grok 3, X has significantly hiked the price for its top Premium+ subscription plan, which gives users access to the latest model, to almost $50 per month. On the support page that lists X’s premium plans, the monthly subscription price for Premium+ in the U.S. has been updated to $50, and the yearly price to $350. This is the second time X is raising the price for the Premium+ plan in the past couple of months. In December, the company hiked the subscription amount to $22 per month from $16 per month. If we go by any of the listed prices, the new plan will cost Premium+ subscribers more than double what they currently pay.
